ICC is confident

When the 59-year-old upholstery Vietnam repairman received his $500,000 prise check from winning Maxmillions on a Lotto MAX draw, he gave a giant thumbs up.

Nguyen is a regular Lotto MAX ticket buyer, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

On June 22, he was the lucky winner of a $1 million Maxmillions prize, which he shared with another ticket.

When Nguyen verified his ticket at a retailer, he discovered he had won. "I was ecstatic! He informed OLG personnel, "I left the store and went to work."

The winning ticket was purchased in Windsor at a 7-Eleven.

For the time being, Nguyen has no huge intentions for the money. He told OLG personnel that he plans to put the money in the bank for the time being and then visit his sister in Vietnam.

There have been numerous big lottery wins in the Windsor-Essex area.

On June 8, 63-year-old Windsor resident John Chisholm won $613,729 in the Lotto MAX draw.

Michele Allen, her daughter Dana Harris, and her son Michael Allen, all of Harrow, shared a $1 million Maxmillions jackpot in the June 4 Lotto MAX draw.

Lee Evans, 47, of Amherstburg, won $1 million on the April 2 Lotto MAX draw while playing ENCORE.

On the OLG's Bigger Spin wheel, Saban Arayan, 49, Windsor won $1 million.
