On Thursday, officials from England and Pakistan announced that England Women will tour Pakistan for the first time in October, to play 3 ODIs and 2 T20Is.
On 14th and 15th October, the two T20I matches will be played in Karachi as double-headers together with the men's team, who are scheduled to tour Pakistan for the 1st time in 16 years.
Heather Knight's team will then stay in Karachi to play in 3 ODI matches on 18th, 20th and 22nd October.
England and Wales Cricket Board Managing Director of Women's Cricket, Clare Connor commented that the England Women has never toured Pakistan before, thus this is another significant step in the history and journey.
She added that this will not only be a cricket tour that offers valuable competitive chances to both sides, it should also serve as another positive and powerful message as they drive forward their equality ambitions for more girls and women to derive empowerment via the sport.
England and Pakistan last met in Australia last year in the Women's T20 World Cup, with England winning by 42 runs.
