Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021: Suryakumar Yadav will lead Mumbai team

Suryakumar Yadav, flamboyant batsman will be the captain of the 20-member Mumbai squad at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which will kick off the 2020-21 domestic season on 10th January 2021.

On Saturday, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced its squad.

All the regulars Aditya Tare, crisis-man Siddhesh Lad, young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan and all-rounder Shivam Dube were included in the squad aside from Suryakumar Yadav.

The bowling attack, which also includes spinners Shams Mulani and Atharva Ankolekar, will be led by the pace duo of Tushar Deshpande and Dhawal Kulkarni.

The association disclosed that all selected players are requested to undergo a RT-PCR test for Coronavirus and to carry a negative result while reporting on 29th December at Wankhede Stadium.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 will kick off the domestic cricket seasons, and domestic giants Mumbai will play their games in Mumbai only.
