"On November 6, I was surprised at the positive outcome of my COVID test," Mahmudullah said in an interview.

I had no fever or any symptoms other than a little cold. More than that, nothing. Yesterday, I went for a test for the second time, and that also came out as positive.'

Bangladesh's T20 captain, Mahmudullah will self-isolate at home.

Tamim Iqbal will, in his absence, be the only Bangladeshi cricketer to play for Lahore Qalandars in the PSL.

Mahmudullah said, "It is disappointing to miss the opportunity to play in the PSL."

It was an excellent opportunity to have a few matches played there. I look forward to getting well soon and participating in our T20 Cup in Bangabandhu.
