Mauricio Pochettino, head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, admitted that he was disappointed to begin his spell in charge with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday at Saint-Etienne.
In the 19th minute, Romain Hamouma snatched the opener for the home side before Moise Kean struck back with an equaliser just 3 minutes later.
However, that would be the end of the scoring, as PSG stayed in the second position in the Ligue 1 table, three points behind Lyon in the first place.
On Saturday, Pochettino was appointed as PSG's new coach, signing a deal until 2022. In the Paris side's hot seat, the former Tottenham manager replaced Thomas Tuchel.
After a subdued display from the French superstar in his first game in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, Mauricio Pochettino faces a challenge to get the best out of Kylian Mbappe again.
PSG, where, during his career, Pochettino spent two years as a player, was without the injured Neymar, but Mbappe played 90 minutes.
The Argentine said he was frustrated that he did not get his tenure off to a winning start, adding that his side had an obligation to win.
