Declan Rice has crowned 2019/20 Betway Hammer of the Year.
The ever-present England midfielder from West Ham United collected nearly 50% of all votes cast by the Claret and Blue Army, earning the coveted award after finishing as runner-up in both of the two previous seasons.
Rice fought off the runner-up threat Angelo Ogbonna, who enjoyed a good season in the centre-back, with ten-goal forward Michail Antonio in sixth.
The 21-year-old started and finished all 37 Premier League matches, and played nearly 500 more minutes in all competitions so far than any other Hammer.
Rice captained the Irons four times, including the 3-2 Premier League win over Chelsea at the Stadium in London early July, and scored an excellent goal in Watford's 3-1 victory that preserved West Ham's top-flight status all but.
The No41 ranks in top five in both tackles and interceptions made this season in the Premier League. In both categories, he leads West Ham and has made more passes than any other Hammer.
The Football Academy graduate is the 42nd different player to be named Hammer of the Year, and the 8th different recipient in the last 8 seasons.
It's 62 years since West Ham United Supporters' Club members first honoured the season's best player with an official award.
The first recipient was the defender Andy Malcolm, whose form helped Ted Fenton 's side on the final day of a memorable campaign to retain the Division Two championship.
Once again congratulate Declan on being crowned the Year's Hammer.
